Is Oil Out of Gas?

Oil and gas production from shale has been one of the biggest advances in energy over the past 10 years or so. Back then, the idea of peak oil was all the rage and fear mongers were out there front and center saying that an oil shortage is just around the corner. The impact of that oil shortage would be an economic calamity, characterized by transportation bottlenecks, food shortages, and political mayhem. As the saying goes, the potential for our demise was highly exaggerated.

For the past month or so, we have been following the oil markets to see if we can tease out a low-risk trade suggestion. Today, we take a fresh look at the oil markets as we think we may have found one.
