Is Viacom (VIAB) Stock Poised for a Turnaround?

Viacom, Inc. (VIAB) is a globally diversified, entertainment company. The company creates television programs, motion pictures, games, consumer products, and social media experiences. It operates through two segments, (1) Media Networks provides entertainment content and related branded products for consumers through approximately 250 locally programmed and operated TV channels, including Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, SPIKE, BET, CMT, TV Land, Nick at Nite, Nick Jr., Channel 5 (UK), Logo, Nicktoons, TeenNick, Paramount Channel. Some of their content is delivered online and through mobile, and apps. (2) The Filmed Entertainment segment produces, finances, acquires and distributes motion pictures, and TV programming content under the Paramount Pictures, Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies, MTV Films, and Paramount Television brands. This content is released and distributed under the Paramount Vantage, Paramount Classics, and Insurge Pictures brands. It is presented theatrically through home entertainment, licensing to television, and digital platforms. The company releases its content to retail through download-to-own, download-to-rent, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, transactional video-on-demand, pay television, subscription video-on-demand, basic cable television, free television, and free video-on-demand, as well as airlines and hotels. In the last 12 months, Viacom generated $1.2 billion in profits from $12.9 billion in revenue.
