Oil is a commodity that traders are having difficulty trading. While it has had an upward tilt, the best strategy was to sell short-dated upside calls after a skirmish in the Straits of Hormuz caused the commodity price to rise, and to sell short-dated downside puts after a declaration of peace caused prices to sell off sharply.
