We will not have any posts or articles to share today. We do not have the strength to carry on, as we just learned that our brother and friend, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated by someone who sniped him from a distance.
This fact gives us great pause and fear for reasons we do not want to discuss in public. Maybe you agreed with him, and maybe you did not. That is not the issue here. What I hope we can agree on is that he was a young person who wanted America to live up to its promise. His approach was to create opportunities for people to talk. That is why he wanted those who disagreed with him to move to the front of the line in his many public debates.
We know that we cannot move forward as a people without open and honest dialogue. That was Charlie’s mission. Let’s take a moment to stop and pray for someone who used the written and spoken words in an effort to make our world a better place. He was a family man with two children.
Rest in peace, Charlie.
