Wednesday is Fed Day. The Federal Reserve Board of Directors meets for a full-day meeting to discuss the state of the economy. During these meetings, staffers discuss their market research and present Board Members with a pile of economic statistics. With that input, the Fed decides what to do next with monetary policy.
