The investment environment is undergoing changes that are not readily apparent to the investment community, both institutional and retail. While reading about inflation and hyperinflation in 3rd world countries is informative, we do not think people appreciate the damage inflation does to their wealth. Living through such an event is more powerful. Only those who lived and invested through an inflationary period like the 1970s can appreciate the hardship inflation delivers.
