If there was an industry segment decimated by the government's reaction to Covid-19, it was the travel and leisure industries. Whether it is travel by plane or train, concerts or cruising, or even workouts in gyms, these industries require people to come into close contact with each other. To slow the spread of Covid-19, the government essentially needed businesses operating in these segments to shut down.
