The Chinese government finds itself in a bit of a bind these days. They have abused the global trading rules, by protecting their markets from imports and subsidizing exports. Also, they steal intellectual property as a business model and now they have to pay the price. The trade tariffs are all about getting the Chinese government to play by the same rules as everyone else on the planet. But "will they?" is the big question. We still believe that the communist party thinks if they hold out with passive-aggressive behavior and governments everywhere will simply cave in to their demands of maintaining the status quo.
