Where is the action in the technology world these days? In the chart below, we see that the big time in the technology world is Deal-Learning Neural Networks (DLNN). We find this interesting because Mike & I are working very hard with technologists to apply DLNN to the volatility surface which is another way of estimating expected forward-looking prices for index options. It is a massive data management exercise and once complete, we will be looking combine the results of this work with optimization techniques to deliver enhanced index and market neutral strategies.
What we also find interesting is that this chart suggests that thee crypto phenomenon is past its prime. This is contrary to our opinion where we think blockchain and the crypto are at a point similar to the internet in 2003 or 2004 which was the low point in the busting of the internet bubble.
