Deere & Company finds itself in a precarious situation. The trade negotiations are putting a pinch on exports and domestic farmers are having a tough time with local issues as well. The domestic problems also stem in part from the trade war as the Chinese government has massively reduced food imports from the US. At the same time, summer is coming late to the midwest, so farmers have reduced their planting efforts as they wait for warmer weather. In short, international sales are being challenged by politics and domestic sales are challenged as farmers see their revenues stagnating or falling.
