The Week Ahead | 04/22/2019

There is a light calendar this week, so naturally the market will be looking at earnings. There is trade that some do regarding the pre earnings hype.  Stocks tend to move up prior to the earnings announcement.  Some could call it the buy the rumor sell the news. As we look at the earnings this week, see if that takes place.

Here is the play, look for stocks that are trading above the 20 day moving average and two weeks out from announcing.  Go long, sell credit spread, or buy calls.  Make sure you sell before the earnings announcement.  If the stock announces before the open, exit the prior day.  Good Luck.  $WMT, $BIDU, $CSCO, $BABA are some notable companies that are just over two weeks out.

Happy Monday. Good Luck out there this week.
