On August 15 of this year, we took a closer look at the price of copper and one of the biggest copper producers, Freeport McMoRan, the big mining copper that is one of the worlds lowest cost producer of copper. They are also big producers of gold, silver, and molybdenum. We noted that the price of copper had broken a multi-year trend channel to the downside suggesting the potential for greater weakness.
