Equity Markets Go BiPolar, The Crystal Ball Says…

Equity investors cannot seem to decide where they will take prices next. Stock prices were down sharply in Monday’s premarket trading, but even so, there seemed to be confusion but not the kind associated by fear. All the popular averages were down, but by midday, small-cap stocks had recovered even as the large caps stayed solidly in the red. By the end of the day, the Russell 2000 and the NASDAQ, squeezed out small gains, while the Dow and S&P500 closed with small losses.
