Our Machines Indicate the Equity Markets are Still in a Holding Pattern

We have been discussing the state of the equity markets which we see as behaving in a way that is most difficult for investors to navigate. To this point, the analysis we have shared has focused on the behavior of the popular indexes like the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Russel 2000. We have shown that since the end of the year, the S&P500 has been in a trading range, characterized by traps which have captured both the bulls and the bears.
