Over the weekend, Berkshire Hathaway held its annual shareholder's meeting. The Berkshire shareholder meeting is one of the most unique of all time. It is by far the largest shareholder meeting to ever take place. The meeting itself takes place at CenturyLink Center in Downtown Omaha Nebraska. It is a huge arena where people go to see sporting events and rock concerts. A typical shareholder meeting takes place at a presentation hall in a hotel.
The second aspect of the Berkshire Shareholder meeting is that the question and answer period essentially goes on as long as someone wants to ask a question. The meeting was scheduled to go on from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm on May 5. If you have ever attended a shareholder meeting you know that this is far longer than what any other company does.
