The crisis in government pensions is the crazy uncle in the attic politicians and the media refuse to talk about. The only people who have anything to say about it are people in the investment business that can take a step back and speak freely without risking their careers. We had a perfect example of this in New Jersey's recent gubernatorial race. The candidates talked about fixing schools, roads, train system, overpriced healthcare and the failures of previous administrations. But they did not take about paying for the cost of government the citizens were sold years ago. But those who do speak up have some sobering comments.
