Hurricane Harvey hit Houston hard. There is no doubt about it. The news was all over the story. It is unfortunate that the media like a good disaster story but "it is, what it is." We pray for our friends in Texas and we were heartened to see people helping people. Texan's are rugged individuals with a will to succeed and do great things. The news focused on the devastation of Houston, probably because that is where most people live. But it is important to remember that Harvey devastated almost the entire Texas Gulf Coast. Harvey did not stop at the shoreline. The storm reached inland by a number of miles. The following graphic published last Thursday illustrates the massive size of the area affected.
