Amazon (AMZN): Did This Bellwether Ring the Bell?

Amazon is the stock of this century. Once a "Dotcom Darling" that lovingly got the name Amazon Dot Bomb after the Dotcom crash, AMZN returned with vengeance. In 2016, the company generated $136 billion in revenue and is on target to generate close to $150 billion in revenue this year. AMZN competes by charging customers with lower prices and convenient home delivery. Many believe that the market share taken by Amazon from brick & mortar retailers is the reason for the slowdown in sales by the traditional retailers.
