The Wall Street Journal reported that Discovery Communications and Scripps Networks Interactive are in merger talks once again. These two companies were in merger talks back in 2014, but a deal could not be put together that satisfied investors and managers on both sides of the table. The same could happen once again, of course, but the market is taking this as a positive sign. The price of DISCA is up $1.67 (6.4%) to $27.72. Scripps (SNI) is up $10.38 (15.5%) to $67.02 at of 8:45 this morning.
