Will Cheniere Energy (LNG) Suffer the “Big Chill”

Cheniere Energy, Inc., (ticker, LNG) is a specialty energy company, engages in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) segment of the oil & gas business. The company is organized into two operating segments, (1) LNG Terminal Business, and (2) LNG and Natural Gas Marketing Business. The company owns and operates the Sabine Pass LNG terminal located in western Cameron Parish, Louisiana; and the Corpus Christi LNG terminal near Corpus Christi, Texas. It also owns a 94-mile pipeline (Creole Trail Pipeline) interconnecting the Sabine Pass LNG terminal with various interstate pipelines. The marketing subsidiary sells LNG to export markets and natural gas to the domestic market. Cheniere Energy, Inc. was founded in 1983. Cheniere Energy has been building its LNG terminals for many years now, and they are finally delivering LNG to export markets. Analysts expect the company to earn $264 million ($1.11/share) on revenues of about $5 billion in 2018.
