Standard Monthly Options expire at the end of this week. Since we have a number of open positions to address, we thought we should discuss them now so you have time to decide what you might want to do as you close out your positions as the week progresses. As is usually the case, some of the spreads we sold are trading out of the money and likely to expire worthlessly. However, we have a bullish position in HSA which we think investors should close out. Given current prices, one should be able to do so at near breakeven levels. The stock is simply not behaving as expected and this is likely the result of delays in health care reform. The following table summarizes those trades that will be coming to an end this week. As of this morning’s open, these trades show a cumulative gain of about $499.
