United-Continental Airlines (UAL): Time to Fly or Stay Home?

United Continental Holdings (UAL) provides air transportation services in North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. The company transports people and cargo through its mainline carrier, United-Continental and regional operator United Express. UAL is now a huge airline, which was formed by the merger of United Airlines and Continental Airlines who were very large airlines in their own right, back in 2010. UAL operates about 1,240 aircraft and completes about 4,500 flights a day to 337 different airports. In 2016, UAL safely operated about 1.6 million flights carry more than 143 million customers using 1,221 aircraft (743 mainline, 478 United Express).
