HP Inc. Will Investors Enjoy the Benefits of a More Focused Company?

HP, Inc. (HPQ) is essentially the personal computer and devices division of the old Hewlett-Packard Company. It is what is leftover after the company spun off its enterprise business, which provides equipment, cloud services, big data analytics and systems to large organizations. HPQ provides technology based hardware and software solutions to individual consumers, small & medium sized businesses, and some large enterprises in the government, health, and education sectors. The products they offer are ones you are familiar with, such as personal computers, workstations, thin clients, commercial tablets, retail point-of-sale systems, displays and let's not forget printers and printing accessories. While they are primarily a hardware company, they also sell software, support services to the consumer and small to a medium size commercial marketplace. In the last 12 months, they earned $2.5 billion ($1.53/share) on $48.2 billion of sales.
